Red Stamp Productions Awarded £30,000 Grant from Innovate UK

Red Stamp Productions, a film, television, and training company based in South Shields has received a £30,000 grant from Innovate UK. The award winning company will use the funding to acquire cutting-edge, Hollywood-grade equipment, empowering the company to grow.

The grant is part of Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency, which drives productivity and economic growth by supporting businesses to develop and realise the potential of new ideas.

The grants are funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport – aiming to provide a package of targeted support to high-growth creative businesses to scale, build investor networks and reach their potential. This funding is designed to help creative businesses explore new innovation projects as a stimulus for growth.

Michael Lambert, co-founder of Red Stamp Productions said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded this grant from Innovate UK.

Founded by Connor Langley, Michael Lambert, and Michael Rowlands, three graduates of the University of Sunderland who met while pursuing their master’s degrees, Red Stamp Productions boasts a distinguished reputation for delivering exceptional media content and training programs to clients across the North East. With this new investment in state-of-the-art equipment, the company will be even better positioned to provide unparalleled services to its clients.

Co-founder Michael Rowlands said:

“Red Stamp Productions, and the region, will not only have access to this exciting new equipment, but the kit will create access to an industry that is notoriously difficult to break into. The industry is missing great local talent that is unable to be seen due to their lack of capital or connections.

“Filmmaking is a notably costly art form, which creates barriers for potential filmmakers from working-class backgrounds. This grant will aid working-class people in the region to use the art of film to make their voices heard.”

The grant from Innovate UK serves as a testament to Red Stamp Productions’ dedication to innovation, quality, and excellence in the film and television industry. By incorporating top-of-the-line equipment, the company will continue to push boundaries, enabling the creation of captivating and engaging content.

Alex Connock Joins Red Stamp Productions

Connock previously founded and ran the Ten Alps group with Bob Geldof, which owned multiple TV production companies and advertising agencies.  He now combines media projects with academic roles at Oxford University and the National Film and Television School.

Connor Langley, co-founder of Red Stamp Productions said:
