Volunteering in South Tyneside

Inspire is the umbrella body for the voluntary sector in South Tyneside. It is passionate about the work that the voluntary sector does across our community and the positive impact that this has.

Inspire offer information and guidance to anyone interested in volunteering and have launched a community platform that lists current volunteering opportunities and promotes community activities across the borough.


Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering your time, energy or expertise has many benefits for an individual, but it also can have a positive impact on your business or organisation.  Volunteering helps people feel connected to a community and across teams. It can help to develop new skills in employees, boost productivity, enhance recruitment and retention and can have a positive impact on an organisation’s reputation.

You can search according to the specialist area you can support with (eg. marketing or youth work ); express an interest in any of the roles listed or share details with staff and colleagues.
