Glendale is one of the largest specialist green-service providers in the UK; managing around 70 term contracts for local authorities, public, and private sector clients. This includes our longstanding presence in South Tyneside, where we have been proudly delivering green services since 1999.

With over 35 years’ industry experience, our services are based on the highest standards of safety, technical knowledge, ability, and teamwork, and include:

Glendale’s horticultural expertise is complemented by our sister companies, providing a comprehensive portfolio of green services:

– epd provide a unique combination of skills in landscape architecture, heritage and horticulture planning and design, with over 40 years’ expertise in a multitude of environments.

– Civic Trees have been supplying, handling, planting and relocating large, semi-mature trees for over 50 years.

Our management systems are underpinned by our ISO-9001 (Quality Management), ISO-14001 (Environmental Management), ISO-45001 (Health and Safety Management) and ISO-22301 (Business Continuity) accreditations. Supported by our company policies, procedures and codes of practice, they ensure that our working methods are aligned with the latest legislation, industry regulations and best-practice.

Our ISO-9001 accreditation is also extended to the National Highways Sector Scheme-18, ensuring works are carried out to the highest-standards of professionalism, using properly trained personnel. We are registered with the Environment Agency as an ‘Upper-Tier Waste Carrier and Dealer’.

Glendale also holds accreditation/professional membership to several industry-bodies, including: Achilles, Alcumus SafeContractor, Arboricultural Association, Avetta, BALI, CHAS, Constructionline-Gold and Salus-(ACDC). These industry-recognised standards require Glendale and our employees, to follow a code-of-practice and undergo evidence-based inspections/audits in order to retain certification; testament to the high-standards of health and safety we work to, and assurance that our systems, processes, and working practices are fully compliant.

Glendale achieved carbon-neutrality in 2021, and we monitor and offset our Greenhouse Gas-(GHG) emissions annually to remain so. In working closely with our supply chain, we aim to be Net Zero by 2035; setting and measuring GHG reduction targets in-line with PAS-2060 / ISO-14068.
