The Lakeside Inn, located in the heart of Jarrow, has recently signed up to the South Tyneside Pledge.
The roadside pub serves traditional British pub grub, tapas and other popular dishes as well as offering entertainment and seasonal events to its locals in Jarrow.
Carl Mowatt, Manager at the Lakeside Inn said:
“We are thrilled to be the latest business to sign up to the South Tyneside Pledge. We are a traditional pub in the heart of Jarrow and our aim is to offer local residents a unique experience, so it only felt natural to join the pledge and help South Tyneside grow.”

The pledge aims to encourage South Tyneside organisations to focus on local activities and take practical steps such as engaging in local procurement and recruitment, which can help South Tyneside to thrive. Those signing up to the pledge commit to do everything they can to spend, recruit and support the local area, helping South Tyneside residents and businesses.
