Cleadon Village Dental Practice is an independent family dental practice that has been operating from Front Street in Cleadon since 2019.
In 2022 Cleadon Village Dental Practice signed up to the South Tyneside Pledge.
Speaking about the Pledge, Matthew Gill, partner at the practice said:
“We are proud to be based in South Tyneside and the majority of our staff come from this area. Helping the local community is what we do, so it is only natural that we want to encourage and support people to become the next generation of dentists, hygienists or dental nurses. We are only a small dental practice but currently have three sixth form students who live in the borough undertaking work experience with us.”
Ellen, one of the students undertaking work experience with Cleadon Dental Practice said:
“I feel incredibly lucky to have been given the opportunity to carry out my work experience in Cleadon Dental Practice. Everyone in the team has gone above and beyond to support and encourage me. As well as being able to observe a whole range of procedures, I now appreciate and understand the importance of care and empathy throughout the treatment of a patient, something I witnessed many times in the surgery.
“This placement continues to give me a real insight into dentistry as a profession and I am extremely grateful for the experience.”
