“It’s an extremely exciting time for the business, in the last two years we’ve won a series of larger contracts in offshore and renewables which has enabled us to expand and build the business further.

“Our growing team has a combined portfolio of over 100 years in a number of industries, and we also recently hired two young workers through the Government Kickstart Scheme.

“We see real growth in the automotive sector, especially in the North East which has led us to create a new department in the business, which will in turn create more high-quality jobs in South Tyneside. We want to repair products rather than replace and this is a key factor in our business.

“In the next five years, we have ambitious plans to grow in our home in South Tyneside and to develop our own product portfolio further. We’re looking to produce, manufacture and supply high quality products at a competitive price point in the UK, taking away the need to import products from abroad and work closely with our clients to service their needs and solve problems.”

Councillor Margaret Meling, Lead Member for Economic Growth, Skills and Climate Change said:

It’s wonderful to see a business that was established in South Tyneside being able to grow and thrive in the borough. HQ Fabrication Ltd has seen real success over the last five years and with such ambitious plans in place, I’m looking forward to watching the next stage of the company’s development.”
