As we approach the summer holidays, we know this can be both an exciting and challenging time for many families. For working parents, the long break from school can bring added pressure, finding affordable activities, arranging childcare, and managing increased household costs.
That’s why we’re hosting Connect2Summer, a Pledge networking event designed to highlight support and events available to help make the summer holidays a little easier.
This event will bring together local providers, organisations, and services to showcase the wide range of activities, events, and support available over the summer months. It’s a great opportunity to highlight the fantastic support already in place and ensure families know where to turn for help.
We’ll also shine a light on affordable and low-cost opportunities, alongside schemes and initiatives that can help families save money and reduce financial stress during this time, because we know how quickly summer costs can add up.
What to Expect
- Networking with fellow Pledge members
- Presentations including:
- Youth Services and Family Hubs – Summer holiday activities
- Transport colleagues and partners: covering transport schemes and low cost innititaives.

A limited number of expo stands are available for Pledge members.
Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come basis.
