The business support landscape is an ever changing one, and it can be difficult to know what support is available to you. Meet with various business support organisations from across the region in one room, in the space of a few hours.

The event is open to all businesses. No need to book simply drop-in.

The Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC)

The Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) offers free business information and resource service to individuals, start-ups, trading businesses and social enterprises across the North East of England. The core services include:

  • Advice on protecting your brands and business identity through one to one Intellectual Property surgeries
  • access to over 40 Experts in Residence specialising in a wide range of key business topics
  • access to market research and intelligence data
  • workshops and events to help businesses develop, connect and collaborate.

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT)

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is the government department for economic growth. They support businesses to invest, grow and export, creating jobs and opportunities across the country.

The local DBT team operates across the Northern Powerhouse supporting businesses through tailored services such as the Export Academy and International Trade Advisers. They have dedicated Advisers who have a wealth of commercial experience along with sector and market knowledge, who work with businesses of all sizes to help them accelerate their international growth ambitions through impartial and tailored advice.

The Midlife MOT

The Midlife MOT is a fully funded review for workers aged 45-55, in the North East of England, that helps them take stock of their finances, skills and health, and enables them to better prepare for their retirement and build financial resilience. The North East Fund
