Veterans Response CIC is a veteran‑led, community-based support organisation in South Tyneside, dedicated to helping Armed Forces veterans and their families transition successfully into civilian life. Its mission is to ensure no veteran is left behind by delivering practical assistance, wellbeing support, and community connection grounded in lived military experience.
Mission & Purpose:
Veterans Response CIC exists to close the gap in support services available to ex‑service personnel. Many veterans return from service with physical injuries, PTSD, neurodiversity-related challenges, depression, and social isolation. The organisation provides holistic, person‑cantered support that restores dignity, stability, and independence. Its mission is built on compassion, rapid response, and trusted relationships, ensuring veterans can access the help they need without barriers.
Core Services:
• Veterans Housing Support, tenancy advocacy, and homelessness prevention
• Welfare & Benefits Guidance, financial hardship support, and crisis intervention
• Veterans Food Bank (weekly), serving over 40 families with essential supplies
• Mental Health Support, peer-led wellbeing sessions, and signposting to NHS services such as Op Courage
• Career Training & Employability Services, CV writing, digital inclusion, accredited training, and job search help
• Veterans Active adapted fitness programme for veterans with PTSD, disabilities, and neurodiverse needs (funded by Sport England)
• Community Outreach, social events, drop‑in support, and inclusion activities to combat isolation
