The Neurothentic Network CIC is a lived-experience-led Community Interest Company based in the North East of England, supporting neurodivergent children, young people and families through neuroaffirming, low-demand and trauma-informed approaches.
Founded and led by autistic and ADHD individuals, our organisation exists to create accessible, accepting spaces for families who are often unable to access mainstream SEND services, education settings or traditional support groups due to unmet needs, sensory barriers, anxiety, school-based trauma, demand avoidance, exclusion or burnout.
Our mission is to help neurodivergent children and families feel safe, understood and empowered, while challenging deficit-based narratives and compliance-driven approaches that can cause further harm. We believe in meeting needs, not expectations.
We provide a range of SEND support services, alternative education opportunities, family support and community-based wellbeing activities across Sunderland, South Tyneside, Gateshead and surrounding areas.

Parent Support and training. Our sessions priorities acceptance, connection and authentic participation over behaviour-based expectations.
Alongside direct work with children and families, we provide practical SEND advocacy and EHCP support services for parents navigating complex education and healthcare systems. This includes support around school attendance difficulties, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), alternative provision, Section 19 education duties, mediation and SEND tribunal preparation.
As a neurodivergent-led organisation, we combine professional knowledge with lived experience, allowing families to access support that feels relatable, compassionate and genuinely understanding. We are passionate about building inclusive communities where neurodivergent children and young people are accepted as they are, not pressured to mask or conform.
