Sunflower Community Kitchen CIC exists to improve the health, wellbeing, and life opportunities of people in South Tyneside by providing affordable, nutritious meals and inclusive community spaces. We are committed to tackling food insecurity, reducing social inequalities, and promoting social inclusion through access to fresh, locally sourced food.
Our mission is to empower individuals, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, through education, training, and hands-on opportunities that build culinary, leadership, and enterprise skills. By fostering community engagement, volunteering, and partnerships with like-minded organisations, we aim to create a more resilient, skilled, and connected local community.
We reinvest all surplus into expanding our reach, increasing participation, and strengthening support for those who need it most, ensuring long-term, sustainable impact.
