Groundwork South and North Tyneside

Location: All South Tyneside

Groundwork is committed to creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and no-one is held back by their background or circumstances.

Through our vision of ‘Changing Places, Changing Lives’ we help people in their local neighbourhoods to build community resilience, improve and protect green spaces, lead more active lives, gain confidence to get back into training or work and overcome significant challenges such as food or fuel poverty, isolation and loneliness, low skills and poor health. We deliver across four main areas;

*Creating Better Places – Working together to create greener and healthier places that are easy to access and good for people and nature.
*Raising Aspiration – Helping people to improve their prospects, building confidence, skills, wellbeing and employability.
*Resilient Communities – Connecting people to build stronger, fairer communities, where everyone can thrive.
*Enriching Lives – Celebrating culture, heritage and nature, inspiring pride by exploring past, present and future.
Working in the places that need most support.
