Cell Pack Solutions has been awarded Gold status in the Better Health at Work Award (BHAWA), recognising the South Tyneside Pledge organisations continued commitment to creating a workplace where wellbeing, inclusion and support are part of everyday life.
This milestone builds on the company’s previous Bronze and Silver achievements and highlights the incredible effort the team has put into promoting physical, mental and emotional wellbeing across the business.
Highlights from Cell Pack’s Gold Year
Healthy Eating & Weight Management
This year saw some deliciously successful initiatives, from Try It Tuesdays and Nutrition and Hydration Week to Corporate Cooking Class, where staff teamed up to cook nutritious meals together.
Hosted by Nourish Food School, the session encouraged staff to learn more about nutrition, portioning and affordable cooking, with plenty of laughter, teamwork and great food along the way. They also hosted a Pizza Party with a healthy twist and introduced Nutritional Booster Shots to help the team explore simple ways to boost daily nutrition.
Stress and Mental Health
Cell Pack’s wellbeing campaigns extended to mental health, with initiatives such as Blue Monday positivity week, Screen-Free Lunches and one-to-one Financial Wellbeing Clinics in partnership with HSBC. These sessions provided practical tools for managing stress and encouraged open conversations around emotional wellbeing.
They also revisited World Sleep Day, continuing to build on last year’s study into sleep habits and overall health.
Physical Activity
From taking part in On Your Feet Britain to lunchtime Laygate Loop walks, Cell Pack kept movement front of mind. Their Family Beach Day at South Shields was another highlight, bringing employees, partners and children together for a day of fun, paddleboarding, and friendly competition in the sun.

A Workplace Culture to Be Proud Of
Cell Park are sharing what they have learned beyond their workplace, helping other South Tyneside businesses on their own Better Health at Work journeys and continuing to take part in community-focused events and initiatives.
A special thank you goes to Zoe Malam and Cell Pack’s Workplace Committee for leading the way and helping make this year’s wellbeing programme their best yet.
