CREATE & CONNECT CIC is an arts-focused community interest company based in South Tyneside.
We are committed to delivering exciting & engaging projects in the North East (with a focus on South Tyneside that;
– provide opportunities for people in South Tyneside, particularly those operating in the creative sector and young people.
– increase access to cultural and creative experiences, especially amongst those who experienced barriers (social, cultural or economic).
– work with other organisations to build an inclusive, collaborative and creative
eco-system that brings live to public spaces and community hubs.
OUR SERVICES
We are a small but passionate team with access to a large network consisting of other organisations and creative practitioners.
EVENTS DELIVERY
We have extensive experience of delivering events and are keen to work with other organisations to build an exciting, diverse and inclusive environment where people can enjoy creative experiences together. We are also interested in promoting the work of community groups where the arts may not be the main focus.
We can work with you to design a project/event that promotes your organisation or company. We have experience in running makers markets, hosting live music and delivering drop-in creative activities and street entertainment.
CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Creative Workshops for young people and corporate clients (team-building events)
We have an extensive mailing list of ‘makers’ and experience in running workshops where makers share their skills with young people to support them to create their own handmade items. We are also able to offer bespoke creative team-building experiences to employees of organisations/businesses
DROP IN STORYTELLING/SINGING SESSIONS FOR CHILDREN AGED-2-8 ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT
We offer half-day storytelling/singing sessions which can be added to an existing event or as part of a community programme. These sessions for young children and their accompanying adults are multi-sensory, playful and a great way for adults to enjoy storytelling and music with their children. Please get in touch if you are interested in commissioning us to deliver these sessions as part of your event/programme.
VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME
We’re looking for volunteers (including young people) who can help us deliver our projects. As a volunteer you’ll gain new skills and experience in the creative sector.
