DESCRIPTION:Bereavement touches every community — but supporting someone through grief can feel daunting.With 1% of the UK population dying each year\, many people turn first to local charities\, community groups\, and VCSE organisations for help. Staff and volunteers often want to offer comfort\, but aren’t always sure what to say or how best to support someone who’s grieving. \n\n\n\nDelivered by St Oswald’s and fully funded\, this practical and supportive training session will help your team feel confident when working with people experiencing loss. In just two hours\, you’ll learn how to: \n\n\n\n\nListen with empathy and respond with compassion\n\n\n\nHave open\, meaningful conversations about grief\n\n\n\nOffer reassurance without feeling responsible for “fixing” anything\n\n\n\nSignpost sensitively to further help and resources\n\n\n\n\nTalking about death and dying can be difficult — but the skills to support someone through grief can make a genuine difference.
